KCLBC
KCLBC stands for the King’s College London Business Club and was launched in September 2008 when I was in my final year studying for my BSc at King’s College London. It is now the largest society at the University representing over 1,000 members and is also one of the largest of its kind in the UK.
The club caters for a diverse range of stakeholders and has organised a wide range of initiatives. Much of the club’s success is attributed to the extraordinary team driving it forward. Sarah Chen, Vice President led the Corporate Relations team to establish and maintain relationships with over 200 companies. Daria Kirilova served as HR Director and scanned hundreds of CVs to bring the very best talent to the club. Mariano Kostelec and Maxim Grebenuk joined from the KCL Computer Science Society (after a failed takeover attempt) and went on to create the Information & Technology Group which garnered praise from Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and IBM. Michael Tyrimos, Vice President (current President 09-10) was the foundation pillar behind KCLBC and led most of the club’s internal operations and strategy. I am confident he will take KCLBC to new heights as the new President.
As the new Chairman, I work closely with Michael in setting club strategy. I am also responsible for sustainability and ensuring a successful launch for the next academic term.
